Since the end of the great magic war, the kingdoms made a collective agreement to ban further use of magic. For the new and powerful magicians of the time, this meant suppressing their powers or facing banishment. Veloce is one of the innocent children who was banished to a small village and forced to contain her powers while she endures the hatred and discrimination of the villagers who fear her.
This is where the young nobel Keritzel discovers her, as she scares away some bullies. After he witnesses the villager’s unfair treatment, Keritzel returns home troubled because he does not know how to help her. He unexpectedly gets his chance to offer aid when Veloce is left injured by an assassin named Blackbird. Veloce is taken in, Keritzel’s friend and admierer, Weirin, is introduced, and the story of Veloce’s banishment is revealed.
Before you know it you are off following Veloce, Keritzel, and Weirin around the world as they seek to end the mistreatment of others and expose the corruption and weaknesses of those around them.
