The magical world of Neverend that is supported by the dreams of humans is now in decline. Ever since the evil witch Mort-Rah overthrew her good sister Mirror, the world has become filled with nightmares. It is during this time that we are introduced to young prince Ruu, one of the people who once supported Mirror, but is now cursed to be a cat. Ruu meets a Dream Weaver named Maybelle who has mistakenly fallen into their world and he leads her to the good witch Mirror in the hopes that she can save their world.
As the story continues, we are introduced to the familiar characters of Snow White, Puss in Boots, Alice in Wonderland, and others fairy tale favourites as the curse of Mort-Rah begins to lift.
