Arata Kaizaki is a smart kid with a good education, but employers refuse to hire him because he quit his first job after only 3 months. He never expected such a simple decision of personal preference would cause so much trouble. Now his parents have decided to stop sending support money and he promised himself that he would not move back. Then Yoake Ryo of the ReLife Laboratory offers to change his life with a drug that makes him 17 again.
Arata accepts the offer and begins his life as a high school student again so that he can improve his skills and experience to get the job he always dreamed of. Yet despite it being a once in a life opportunity, Arata is divided between feeling like he is older and does not belong to wanting to stay with his new friends who will forget about him at the end of the project. Plus he is starting to suspect that some of the other students may be secretly part of the same project.
