Cielo is a runaway who wants to be anywhere but home, drawn to the sea but an inexplicable wanderlust. The day he leaves for Baytown, he meets a sailor who agrees to take him with her, and his life irreversibly changes.
Marin is a captain without a crew: they mutinied when they learned that she meant to sail to the horizon. She has since fitted her ship with mechanisms that allow her to sail solo, but somehow she feels like she's meant to have a travelling partner.
