Detective John Carson is on the trail of the Heart Ripper serial killer when the suspicious dead body of Andrea Mathews turns up. His superiors refuse to believe that the killing is evidence of a new personal murder case because she too had her heart removed, but Carson soon convinces them otherwise. It turns out that Andrea was a heroine addict with a lot of enemies including her own brother and boyfriend. Things are getting complicated, but there is nothing that this dedicated detective cannot solve.
