The wolves of Tara are facing a difficult time. Their numbers have been depleted since they broke their pact with humans. Few wolves have been born with the powers needed to be the gods’ messenger, and those that remain have divided their alliance between Belenus god of fire and the goddess Morrigan.
During this time, the young wolf Tal is asked to leave the safety of his forest home to join the other messengers in Tara despite his lack of training. His journey is not an easy one. Followers of the Morrigan are intent on capturing him. Tal manages to escape and join his brother Sean in Tara, but the two must now make the long journey to unlock Tal’s power.
